The original colored moss

Polarmoss colored moss known for its outstanding quality. It is manufactured from our own reindeer moss that is carefully selected from naturally growing reindeer moss beds in the northern forests. It is colored and preserved by hand and manufactured with care.

Colors and pigments

Available in 16 deep and vivid colors. Pigments used for coloring are purity compliant with German BfR IX, European Resolution AP(89)1, EU Directive 94/62/EC, and CONEG.

Quality

The high quality of our colored moss comes from mastering the entire production chain by ourselves: first the correct grades of moss are picked by hand in the forest, then the moss is colored and preserved, and finally it is skillfully transformed into contemporary interior design products.

Maintenance

Colored moss need minimal maintenance. Cleaning by gentle dusting with dust brush or gentle vacuum cleaning. Reindeer moss naturally dampens and softens sounds and so being is an excellent material for acoustic purposes also. When the room air humidity is below 40%, the moss may get hard, but it softens again when the air humidity increases. Please touch the moss gently when it is hard, as it behaves in the same way as natural moss: it can break easily. Polarmoss colored moss is flame-retardant.
